Wide-Width 304 Stainless Steel Sheet 1500mm 2000mm Large Format Pressure Vessel

This wide-width 304 stainless steel sheet is produced in large formats up to 2000mm wide and 6000mm long, giving fabricators of storage tanks, pressure vessels and chemical reactors an efficient way to minimise the number of welded seams in a vessel shell. Because each weld is a potential source of corrosion, inspection cost and structural weakness, reducing seam count directly improves both quality and throughput. The wide sheet lets manufacturers roll and assemble large cylindrical shells from fewer pieces, shortening fabrication time and cutting the labour and testing burden associated with longitudinal and circumferential joints.

The material is rolled on a wide cold and hot rolling line under strict ASTM A240 discipline, then supplied in No.1, 2B or BA finishes according to the application. Thickness is available from a light 2mm up to a robust 20mm for heavy pressure duty, and flatness is controlled to within 5mm per metre so that large panels roll and fit accurately. Mechanical properties, including a tensile strength of at least 515 MPa and elongation of at least 40%, provide ample strength and ductility for the forming and welding operations used in vessel manufacture. Mill test certificates accompany every heat number.
