Product Description
This food-grade 304 stainless steel sheet is engineered for hygienic environments where cleanliness, chemical inertness and durability are non-negotiable. The material is produced from high-purity 304 chromium-nickel steel with a non-porous, impervious surface that leaves no crevices for bacteria, mould or food residue to colonise. Because the sheet is odourless, non-toxic and completely non-reactive with acids and oils, it is safe for direct food contact and is widely trusted across commercial kitchens, dairies, beverage plants and pharmaceutical clean rooms. Every batch is verified against FDA and LFGB food-contact requirements before shipment.
Manufacturing follows strict hygiene-oriented controls: the sheet is annealed in a clean atmosphere, pickled and passivated to remove embedded contaminants, and finished with either a satin No.4 or bright 2B/BA surface. The polished variants achieve surface roughness values as low as Ra 0.4 micron, a smoothness that minimises product build-up and makes manual or CIP (clean-in-place) sanitation fast and thorough. Thickness is controlled tightly so that formed basins, tanks and panels keep uniform walls, and the low carbon and stabilised grain structure allow reliable TIG and laser welding without post-weld cracking in food-processing equipment.
Key Features- Food-Contact Compliant: Manufactured to FDA and LFGB requirements for hygienic food-contact applications, with documentation supplied on request.
- Non-Porous Hygienic Surface: A dense, impervious surface prevents bacterial retention and biological film formation, supporting stringent hygiene standards.
- Easy-Clean Satin Finish: No.4 brushed and BA finishes wipe clean quickly and resist stubborn food soils, cutting sanitation time and water consumption.
- Odourless and Non-Toxic: Completely inert and free of coatings or additives, so it never alters the taste, colour or aroma of processed food.
- Reliable Weldability: Low carbon chemistry and a stable grain structure weld cleanly with TIG and laser methods, with no risk of post-weld intergranular corrosion.
- Consistent Gauge and Flatness: Tight thickness control and excellent flatness ensure uniform formed parts and correct sealing of food-processing equipment.

Food-grade 304 sheet is indispensable wherever hygiene and durability must coexist. Commercial kitchenware manufacturers form it into sinks, worktops, counters, shelving and cooking utensils that must withstand daily scrubbing and hot cleaning chemicals. Food and beverage processors build it into mixing tanks, conveyor guards, hoppers, dairy vats and brewery vessels. Pharmaceutical and cosmetic producers use it for clean-room furniture, tablet presses and liquid-handling equipment. Catering operators value its effortless cleaning and fresh appearance, while food-packaging lines depend on its chemical inertness to avoid product contamination. For any surface that touches food, drink or medicine, this hygienic grade offers a safe and long-lasting solution.
Packaging & Quality AssuranceSheets are wrapped in clean PVC protective film and dust-free paper, then stacked on clean wooden pallets and shrink-wrapped to keep the surface hygienic up to the point of use. Each consignment includes a mill test certificate, surface roughness report and food-contact declaration. We advise on passivation and cleaning-during-commissioning procedures and provide guidance on weld finishing to preserve corrosion resistance. With ample weekly stock and rapid export handling, we help food-equipment manufacturers keep their production lines running without material shortages.
